Parts of Muscat are likely to receive light showers on Thursday while Musandam, North and South Batinah, Buraimi, Dahirah and the western part of Al Hajar mountain ranges will get isolated rain over the next two days.
According to the Met office, the development of a trough has led to chances of isolated rain over northern governorates up to Saturday. While rain can be expected in Muscat only on Thursday, it will be cloudy for the next three days. North-westerly winds are likely to bring the temperature further down.
Several parts of the Sultanate had witnessed severe drop in temperature in the wake of winter winds.
The sea condition along the coast of Musandam and Sea of Oman is expected to be moderate with wave heights of 1.5 metres. Other coastal areas can expect wave heights of 1.25 metres.
