The Public Authority for Mining (PAM) participated in the fifth Fujairah International Forum for Industrial Rocks and Mining and its associating exhibition in Fujairah, the UAE.
The forum, under the theme ‘Our Resources is Good for Our Future’, is organised by the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, in cooperation with the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organisation.
Around 1,000 experts and specialists from 20 Arab and foreign countries are discussing 40 working papers on the mining sector in the Arab countries.
The forum will conclude on Thursday.
PAM presented a working paper on ‘Environment Conservation and Optimum Exploitation of Mines and Quarries after the Completion of the Mining Activity’.
The paper dealt with the importance of preserving the geological heritage and placing it on the map of world tourism.
