Shabab Oman II to take part in Dutch sailing festival

PARIS

The Royal Navy of Oman Vessel (RNOV) ‘Shabab Oman II’ left Brest Naval Base in France, heading to the Netherlands to take part in Den Helder Sailing Festival 2017.

The vessel will anchor next at Den Helder Port in the Netherlands during its third international voyage, themed ‘Sail of Friendship and Peace’ to Europe and the Baltic Sea.

The ‘Shabab Oman II’ will organise several cultural activities and training programmes, disseminating the Omani message of love, friendship and peace among peoples of the countries to be visited by the vessel, as well as reviving glories of the Oman’s ancient    marine history and its bright present at international marine festivals and regattas that the vessel will take part during its voyage.
