Cloudy conditions are expected to continue for the next two days across the Sultanate owing to a disturbance in the Arabian Sea, bringing down mercury levels.
This can lead to thundershowers in Ibra, Bahla, Bidiyah, Mudhebi, Rustaq, Ibri, Saiq, Samail, Nizwa, Quriyyat, Al Hamra, Izki, Bidbid, Jebel Shams and Buraimi, according to the Met office.
In Muscat, it would be mostly cloudy with chances of isolated light showers along the Al Hajir mountain ranges. The sea is expected to be rough along coastal areas of Arabian Sea with maximum wave height of 4.5 metres
The Met office said development of convective clouds with isolated rain, occasionally thundershowers would be over the Al Hajar Mountain ranges and adjoining wilayats and over southern parts of Dhofar governorate.
