Knowledge Oman to hold entrepreneurship meet

Knowledge Oman, the knowledge-based community platform, is launching a free seminar on Starting Your Own Business on September 18 at Paca Training Centre as part of its series of community seminars.

Adnan Zubaid Khan, Head of Community Projects at Knowledge Oman, said: “The Start Your Own Business seminar features leading entrepreneurs and experts to offer awareness and learning on being an entrepreneur in Oman. The seminar covers learning on leadership traits and skillsets of an entrepreneur, self-awareness, opportunities in Oman, understanding the elements of a business plan, understanding the commercial registration process, and discovering real life stories of Omani entrepreneurs.”

The seminar speakers include Richard Kemp, who has expertise in capacity building and development and has directed the National CEO Programme of Oman, Abdullah Al Jufaili, General Manager of Sharakah that encourages and supports the development of entrepreneurs and SMEs in the Sultanate, Walaa Hamdan General Manager of StartUp Oman that brings together Oman’s entrepreneurial ecosystem in one community, and Abdullah Al Farsi from Invest Easy the one-stop shop of commercial services.

Panelists include Khalid Al Suwaid, an award-winning entrepreneur that has launched popular restaurants in Oman such as Bites and Graffiti Burger, Hazar Al Zadjali, Founder and Managing Director of Muscat Boutique, and Firas Al Musafir, Founder and CEO of Innovation Factory, the first digital manufacturing plant in Oman.
